Well...
I leave for Ecuador tomorrow. I have numerous different feelings swirling around inside of me. Nervousness and excitement are two that dominate at the moment. I'm excited about my adventure, the challenge it will offer for me, and the fact that I will be out of my "comfort zone" for an extended time. Nervousness comes from the fact that I keep questioning whether or not I'll be able to handle it. Thankfully, my mobility as an adolescent will surely prepare me for this quest! I recently found out that my good friend from Millikin, Matt Pfeifer, will be moving to Argentina in the recent future, and will have a reason to visit another South American country at some point...
I encourage everyone following to download Skype (http://www.skype.com/useskype/). It is an online way to communicate through microphone or video conferencing with me while I'm away! It's free as long as both parties have Skype...I'll try and keep it open as much as possible!
Feel free to come and visit me as well! Especially in the winter time when there is 11 inches of snow on the sidewalks and when it will be 60-80 degrees where I am...
I'll try to post again when I meet some friends and my host family in Quito!
Maybe a video post will be in the cards as well...
See you in a year!
